There’s something magical about a tea that instantly makes you feel more alive—and more at peace.

Recently, I discovered a delicious herbal tea from The Republic of Tea that checks all the boxes: vibrant, refreshing, packed with plant-powered benefits, and visually stunning thanks to blue spirulina. The blend includes lemon balm, kiwi, ginkgo biloba, lion’s mane mushroom, white hibiscus, and blue spirulina—and let me tell you, it’s a mood in a mug.

But it’s more than just flavor. It’s a wellness infusion—supporting everything from mental clarity and digestion to glowing skin and stress relief. I loved it so much, I created two more DIY loose-leaf recipes to go with it, forming what I call:

The Summer Glow & Focus Herbal Tea Trio

These blends are caffeine-free, naturally hydrating, and ideal for hot summer days when your body (and brain) crave something calming, cooling, and rejuvenating.

Tea Recipe #1: Mind & Mood Glow Tea

Inspired by The Republic of Tea’s blend Key Benefits: Mental clarity, mood support, digestive calm, skin glow.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp dried lemon balm

  • 1 tsp dried white hibiscus

  • ½ tsp dried ginkgo biloba

  • ½ tsp lion’s mane mushroom powder

  • ½ tsp dried kiwi pieces or a few fresh slices (optional)

  • ¼ tsp blue spirulina powder (add after steeping for color + nutrients)

To Brew: Steep herbs (except spirulina) in 8–10 oz hot water for 8 minutes. Strain, then stir in blue spirulina for a vibrant teal hue. Sip warm or iced.

Why this Works:

This blend combines nootropic herbs (lion’s mane + ginkgo) with mood-soothing lemon balm and glow-boosting kiwi and hibiscus. Blue spirulina adds visual beauty—and a boost of nutrients that support energy and skin health.

Tea Recipe #2: Citrus Calm Clarity Cooler

Key Benefits: Stress relief, brain fog clearing, refreshing hydration.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp dried lemon balm

  • 1 tsp dried tulsi (holy basil)

  • 1 tsp dried lemon peel or lemongrass

  • ½ tsp dried lavender buds

  • Juice of ¼ fresh orange (add after steeping)

  • Ice and a fresh mint sprig to serve

To Brew: Steep herbs in hot water for 7–8 minutes. Strain and let cool. Add orange juice and serve over ice with mint.

Why this Works:

Tulsi and lavender help quiet a busy mind, while citrus peel and lemon balm uplift the senses. A splash of fresh orange brings natural vitamin C and a touch of sweetness—perfect for an afternoon reset.

Tea Recipe #3: Radiance Rose & Spirulina Iced Tea

Key Benefits: Skin-loving antioxidants, immune support, hydration boost.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp dried hibiscus petals

  • 1 tsp dried rose petals

  • ½ tsp dried elderberries or goji berries

  • 1 tsp dried apple pieces

  • ¼ tsp blue spirulina powder

  • Optional: drizzle of raw honey

To Brew: Steep herbs in hot water for 7–8 minutes. Strain and let cool. Add orange juice and serve over ice with mint.

Why this Works:

This blend is a skin-brightening powerhouse. Rose and hibiscus flood your system with antioxidants, elderberries support immune health, and spirulina adds a mineral-rich detox layer. Hydration meets radiance in every sip.

The Healing Power Behind Each Sip

  • Lemon Balm & Tulsi: Calm the nervous system, ease stress, and support emotional balance

Make It a Ritual

Tea isn’t just a drink—it’s an invitation to pause.

Whether you’re starting your morning with a mindful sip, taking a midday screen break, or winding down as the sun sets, these blends are more than refreshment—they’re a way to reconnect. With your breath. With your body. With the present moment.

Let each cup be a reminder that slowing down is productive. That clarity comes not from pushing harder, but from tuning in.

  • Light a candle

  • Breathe between sips

  • Set an intention

  • Let the warmth or chill of your tea match the rhythm of your day.

And if you want to deepen the ritual, pair your tea with a few quiet moments of journaling.

Track how each blend makes you feel.Note the shifts in your energy, your mood, or your focus.

I created The Mindful Pause Journal for moments just like this—a gentle space to reflect, realign, and reset.
